The Challenge

Nesnah Ventures utilizes a cloud-based fleet management solution that is independent of its ERP and payroll systems. The fleet management solution has rich data on drivers, vehicles, trips and fuel consumption, but reporting was limited to what was available within the system, and isolated from other important business data sources. This made strategic fleet and performance management difficult.

  • Manual data extraction and metric calculation was time-consuming and not scalable across multiple locations and time periods. Historical data was inaccessible for trend analysis.

The Solution

Implementation Timeline:

  • Wednesday:
    Initial requirements gathering between LTC and the Nesnah Ventures reporting and operations teams. LTC received access to the fleet management system. Within hours, LTC researched the API, reviewed the data, asked some clarifying questions, and was ready to build.
  • Friday:
    LTC delivered sample files and walked through them with the Nesnah Ventures team. Several valuable insights emerged during the review, including discovery of data sources the client hadn’t realized were available. Based on these discoveries, we refined the requirements to capture the additional value. The integration was quickly updated, and by mid-afternoon the enhanced solution was delivered and running in production.
  • The Next Week:
    Seeing the potential value in the data, Nesnah reached out to LTC to expand the scope to include historical data. LTC updated the integration to be ready for a larger data set and by 2pm the same day had pulled 1.5 years of historical data.
